I&#039;ve also used rosemary tea to repel fleas.  I have rosemary in my yard, so I just cut some off and throw in a pot with some water.  Bring to a boil for a while, then let it cool.  Start away from the doorways and spray as you move toward them.  Can stain light fabrics/fibers, so use caution there.  I&#039;ve also used it as a rinse for dogs after bathing.

I used borax (20-Mule Team, specifically) in the house for a flea infestation.  Put the dogs out so they&#039;re not breathing the powder, and spread on the floor.  Work it into the carpet, cracks between floorboards and around the baseboards.  Vacuum up a day or two later.  It helps dry out and thus kill the fleas and their eggs.  Sort of the cheap version of FleaBusters.
