People Suck

Not all people.. but a good lot of them.
My friend runs a doggy daycare. She’s been “in dogs” for almost 25 years. She offers what she calls a “Board and Train”. Your dog stays with her for two weeks and learns basic manners. Your dog also gets to play with her dogs and learns how to be social.
She has had a dog in board and train for almost a month.
Turns out, the owners haven’t bothered to come pick him up. They don’t answer her phone calls, they don’t return messages and they are 2 1/2 hours away so no driving by the house.. oh and they haven’t paid her either.
My friend has a huge heart so she will find a home for Lester. But seriously..

Wouldn’t it be nice if people were as loyal as dogs?
I think I would want some payment in advance after this experience.
Ugh.. that’s rotten. When I worked at a boarding kennel for about 4 weeks when I was a kid, there were two shelties there, Starsky and Hutch, and their people never picked them up either.
On the bright side - we all know that Lester’s going to be much better off and find a wonderful home now that he’s trained.
